ASAE & The Center Opening Welcome Reception
Canada. We're a big country known for big welcomes. The opening reception at the ASAE & The Center 2009 Annual Meeting & Exposition will be no exception.
Join us on Saturday, August 15 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre for a unique exploration of Canada. A remarkable range of extra-ordinary experiences and culinary ingenuity will come together to create an exciting evening of discovery for the explorer in you.
Will you begin with a taste of award-winning wines from Ontario or British Columbia? Or perhaps you may want to wrangle your inner cowboy with Alberta beef while you kick back and enjoy the rhythms of Gaelic music from Nova Scotia? Maybe sink your taste buds into a chèvre noir from Quebec as you take in the magic of Canada's prairies?
Or, you can set out with no particular plan. In fact, there is so much to see and do that we have called in special guides to help you navigate the terrain so you won't miss a thing.
All you have to do is decide where to begin.

Greening Events
"Zero Waste Event (ZWE)": The MTCC pioneered the concept of holding large-scale Zero Waste Events and has won numerous awards for this unique approach to waste diversion (the MTCC currently diverts 78% of all waste generated). A Zero Waste Event successfully avoids adding to the existing landfill burden by preventing, eliminating or recycling virtually everything it generates.
"Bullfrog Powered Event": Bullfrog Power's green electricity comes exclusively from wind and hydro facilities that have been certified as low impact by Environment Canada. More and more clients and event planners are opting for green power to reduce the environmental impact of their events, while the MTCC also uses it to power all of its administrative offices and electronic signage.
